PGF works in partnership with local organic growers to source fresh produce each week. We prioritize minimizing food waste and maximizing food access while upholding the highest standards in safety, quality, and care.
Each week, we collaborate with local organic farmers to redirect high-quality, unsold, and surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste.
The produce is then hand-packed into Harvest Bags and made available to the public on a flexible, no-subscription basis.
Every dollar spent on a PGF Harvest Bag is reinvested directly into our mission.
Your support helps us grow our upcoming seed initiative, preserving and sharing organic, heirloom, and culturally significant seeds for future generations.
Come over to Old City Market & Oven to pick up our harvest!
Project Green Foot is thrilled to partner with Southern Exposure Seed Exchange to launch a powerful new educational series as a fundraiser for our organization!
Each class offering will be listed below. These series are designed to help you grow more food, save seed, and reconnect with the land. Our series will be guided by one of Southeast’s most respected voices in organic gardening: Ira Wallace.
Ira Wallace is a seed saver, writer, and co-founder of the Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello. She lives and gardens at Acorn Community Farm in Virginia, home of Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. Her work is deeply rooted in sustainability, education, and equitable access to healthy food and seed systems.
