Harvest Program (DC)

Project Green Foot has partnered with FreshFarm to launch our Harvest Program. PGF works in partnership with local organic growers in the Washington DC area to source fresh organic non-GMO produce each week.

We prioritize minimizing food waste and maximizing food access while upholding the highest standards in safety, quality, and care. Each week, we collaborate with local organic farmers to redirect high-quality, unsold, and surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste.

The produce is then hand-packed into Harvest Bags and made available to the public on a flexible, no-subscription basis.

  •  100% Local & Organic
  •  NON-GMO
  •  No Subscriptions
  •  Regenerative Practices
  •  Reinvested Proceeds

Every dollar spent on a PGF Harvest Bag is reinvested directly into our mission. Our mission is to preserve nature through the focused conservation of organic edible and usable seed-bearing plants while maximizing organic cleanliness & heirloom genetic structure.

East Friendship Baptist Church Outreach!

As food security becomes more fragile, we’re committed to showing up for all in need!

Saturday November 22nd at East Friendship Baptist Church, PGF gave out locally sourced organic produce to the community!

FRESHFARM has set a goal to raise $15,000 for this year’s Fresh Food Drive. All of the money donated has been used to purchase fresh food from our farmers. With the sponsorship of FreshFarm, PGF was able to distribute over 900lb of fresh organic produce to the community!

PGF operations are made possible through collaboration with valued partners such as FreshFarm, Food Rescue US, and the many Farmers & volunteers committed to ensuring the conservation of our world for future generations.

Please consider donating to Project Green Foot to help support this small grass roots organization. We do not have any grants or significant financial contributors to help hire staff and run our operations to its highest potential. PGF is solely ran by one individual who believe in our mission and our efforts.
