Project Green Foot (PGF) is thrilled to partner with FreshFarm to launch our Harvest Program as a fundraiser for our organization! Our Harvest program runs from March through December every year in support to the local growing seasons in zones 6B-7B.
PGF works in partnership with local organic growers in the Washington DC area to source fresh organic non-GMO produce each week. We prioritize minimizing food waste and maximizing food access while upholding the highest standards in safety, quality, and care.
Each week, we collaborate with local organic farmers to redirect high-quality, unsold, and surplus produce that would otherwise go to waste.
The produce is then hand-packed into Harvest Bags and made available to the public on a flexible, no-subscription basis.
Every dollar spent on a PGF Harvest Bag is a fund raising method that is reinvested directly into PGF to help support local farmers and our operating costs.
Your support also helps us grow our upcoming seed initiative; where we will preserve and share organic, heirloom seeds for the preservation of future generations.
